After 20 years in the U.S. Navy, retired as a Chief Petty Officer, I know a move is rarely just about packing boxes. It’s transfer package nightmares, endless paperwork, and making sure everything is in order so your family can get where they need to go. Then comes figuring out where to live in a community you don’t know—all while navigating the military's very favorite “hurry up and wait.” I’ve lived that uncertainty, I've felt that frustration and it’s a big part of why I became a Realtor.

I’m John Heering, a Northeast Florida real estate agent with 904 Realty and part of the Heering Home Team alongside my wife, Jillian. I help buyers and sellers throughout Greater Jacksonville, including Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, and Clay counties and surrounding. I have a particular connection to my fellow military brothers and sisters, but I work with anyone who's relocating, moving up, or settling into a new phase of life.

My approach is straightforward: listen closely, pay attention to the details, and give you an honest answer. Whether you’re buying your first home with a VA loan, selling to make room for what’s next, relocating for work, or settling into retirement, I’ll help you understand your options and build a plan that fits your life.

The uniform has changed. The commitment to serve hasn’t.
